Opting In

When your account is first set up, you will receive notifications by email and not by text. To receive text messages, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Hero Schedule.

2. Click Menu > My Settings:

3. Find the link where you can click to add your cell number and click that link:

4. Enter your number in the prompt that appears and click Save.

5. No messages will be sent until you verify your cell number. Click the Send Code button to initiate the verification process:

6. You will receive a text message with a numeric code. Enter the code you receive by SMS in the "Enter Code" box above. When the correct code is entered, your cell number will appear with a green check next to it, indicating it has been verified and is available to receive notifications. However, no notifications will be sent until you opt-in to text notification for the specific notification types you are interested in (see next step).

7. Check the "Text" box next to the notifications you would like to receive by text. Click the save button when you've updated your selections. More information about notifications are available on the Choosing Your Notifications documentation page.

Opting Out

You can turn off SMS notifications in any of these ways:

• In My Settings > Individual Notifications, uncheck all checkboxes in the Text column, OR
• In My Settings, click to edit your number, clear the input box, and click save, OR
• Reply STOP to any message. You will immediately stop receiving all SMS notifications.
