Shift abbreviations are helpful to keep your schedule clean and organized. Setting these up is simple: type characters for your abbreviation, select an activity, and select a time span. The abbreviation will automatically show up if this rule is met.
- Go to Menu > Organization Setup > Shift Abbreviations
- Click Add
- Enter the Name. (e.g. CHF)
- Enter the Activity. (e.g. Chief)
- Enter the Time Span. (e.g. 0800-1600)
- Or check the Include all times option. This will show this abbreviation for any time span that the activity is being used. This is helpful for Training or other general activity.
- Click Save
- Continue to add all the abbreviations
Typical abbreviations include:
- DAY (day shift)
- NGT (night shift)
- Sgt DAY (Sergeant day shift)
- Sgt NGT (Sergeant night shift)
- LT (Lieutenant)
- CHF (Chief)
- TRN (Training)
Variations also can include numbers:
- D1 (day shift 1)
- D2 (day shift 2)
